7th Grade Tdap

To help prevent whooping cough, California law requires all students  entering 7th grade in August, 2017, to show proof of an adolescent whooping cough booster shot (Tdap) before the start of school in August, 2015.  Remember to:

  • Plan ahead – Make an appointment with your child’s health provider to get the  Tdap vaccine soon
  • Send proof of a completed Tdap vaccine to your child's school.

The PTSA meets the second Wednesday of the month from  6 to 8 p.m. in the Cafeteria.

 

English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC)

Cada escuela pública en California donde hay 21 ó más alumnos aprendiendo inglés (EL*) debe formar un comité consejero escolar del programa estatal para alumnos aprendiendo inglés (ELAC*) o un sub-comité de un comité similar ya en existencia. ELAC advises the principal, school staff and the School Site Council on programs and services for students learning English. JLMS meetings are on the second Wednesday of each month from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. in the Multi Purpose Room (1st floor).

 

School Site Council (SSC) 

The SSC represents parents, students, staff and community members in the school governance process with help in developing and monitoring the Academic Plan and school site budget. JLMS meetings are on the third Wednesday of each month from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. in the Multi Purpose Room (1st floor).

 

Cada escuela del SFUSD debe tener un Consejo Directivo Escolar (SSC) que represente a los padres de familia, estudiantes, miembros de la comunidad y al personal de la escuela durante el proceso administrativo escolar. El SSC tiene un número importante de responsabilidades, que incluyen: Revisar y analizar los datos acerca del rendimiento académico del estudiante, recopilar las opiniones de la comunidad, ayudar con el desarrollo del Plan Académico y el presupuesto del plantel escolar, y supervisar la implementación y el presupuesto.

District English Learners Advisory Committee (DELAC) 

DELAC advises the district's local governing board (e.g., in person, by letters/reports) on programs and services for English learners.

Parent Advisory Council (PAC)

The PAC Advises the San Francisco Board of Education of parents' perspectives and recommendations on school district issues. The Council meets monthly during the school year at 555 Franklin Street, San Francisco. PAC accepts applications for the school year in the fall. Outside of School

Parents for Public Schools-San Francisco is a network of parents working together to build and ensure quality public education for all children in San Francisco. The organization provides parent leadership development training to help parents understand the complex school systems and gain confidence to get involved in many areas such as the School Site Council and English Learner Advisory Committee.
